- Ability to assemble weldments from drawings.
- Fabricate sheet metal bins, enclosures, covers.
- Operation of a TIG welder, setup, and maintenance.
- Operate drill press, and band saw.
- Utilize hand grinders/sanders to perform grain finishing.
- Control raw material inventory utilizing shop routers and computer.
- Cut raw material per engineering drawings.
- Group required parts prescribed in BOM.
- Weld and setup sub-assemblies for welders.
- Follow SOP and OPLs.
What You Need to Succeed:
- High school diploma or equivalent and able to pass Level 1 Weld Test.
- Weld Certificate or hands-on experience preferred.
- Ability to read and understand weld symbols.
- Proficiency in reading and understanding blueprints and engineered drawings.
- Ability to prioritize and problem solve.
- Ability to efficiently use hand grinders and air tools while possessing a foundational understanding of polishing techniques to achieve high-quality pre-polished parts.
- ERP system experience (SAP Preferred).
- Basic Lean Manufacturing understanding.
- Ability to multi-task.
- Ability to perform duties using imperial and metric measurements.
- Able to follow written and oral instruction.
- Ability to work in a high paced environment.
- Dexterity and hand and eye coordination.
- Safety awareness (always wear appropriate PPE and maintain a safe workspace while ensuring proper equipment use and fire safety during welding).
- Ability to safely lift 50 lbs. and work in multiple positions (i.e. stand, sit, lay, squat, bend, kneel) for prolonged periods of time.
- Ability to work overtime.
